Happy Father's Day

These kiddos love their daddies and were so excited to spend a few days working secretively on a few little projects for them. 

I felt quite ambitious this year and tackled a project involving Mod Podge. Ambitious, seeing that I've never worked with Mod Podge before. The good news is that success finally arrived around the corner from a few failed attempts. :) 

We made a canvas for grandpa, pop-pop and daddy alike, declaring that they are the best around, "hands down"! Aside from the tracing, cutting and adhering of their hand prints along with the final application of Mod Podge, the kiddos started and complete the majority of the three projects on their own. They were so very proud of their work. I took them to Hobby Lobby earlier in the week to pick out the scrapbook paper we needed for their hand prints. It took them seconds to pick from what seemed like the hundreds of choices available. I absolutely adore the choices they made! Mikey chose a whimsical alphabet print, Gabby a fancy pink print and Josiah a silly monkey print.  I just love how well they depict a few of their own very special, unique characteristics! 

They also took great pride in decorating the wrapping paper.

Can you guess what we were watching earlier that morning. Haha! 

In addition to the canvas art we made daddy, the kids and I sat around the table one day and came up with a little over a dozen cards with items written on them of things we thought daddy would enjoy. We planned to have him pick a card or two as frequently as possible through out the day. This went over really well with daddy. He LOVED them! They even left him wondering why we haven't been making cards like these for every single special occasion, even holidays. Ha! It made us so happy to see him enjoy them like he did. We didn't get to all of the cards but among daddy's favorite picks were, "Back Massage", "Read You a Story" and "Joke Time". 

Daddy got to pick the who and what for his "Read You a Story" card. He asked that Mikey read him the classic story of Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed. 

Perfect book, perfect little boy, perfect everything! 

We love you. We honor you. We appreciate you, daddy.
