Days of Play at Grandma's

The Days at grandmas are pretty special.
It's been fun to see how a little change of scenery can inspire different sorts of play and different sorts of interaction between all of us.

Train play...
Family coloring play...
Egg carton and tong play...
Button sorting play...
Outdoor play...
They've discovered how to put the metal poles from Grandma's clothes line to good use.
I'm sure it's quite exhausting to try and push someone of almost your exact same weight and size up a pole like that, over and over again. They were so very determined and were quite tickled at how some (very few) of their efforts in pushing each other up were successful. Although now, through assimilating and accommodating, they use a small outdoor table to stand on so that they can reach their desired height for sliding and swinging.

Wild animal play...
Grandma has one of those magical backyards; birds galore, stray cats, scampering squirrels, even wild bunnies. Mr. Cottontail has visited us quite a few times over the past week. We have really enjoyed him.
