First things were first as we gathered with our church family this morning to celebrate Christ's Resurrection. Daddy, Mikey and Josiah spent time together worshiping in the main sanctuary while Gabriella and I worshiped in Little River Kids Church.
I brought my very first Easter sermon to an incredible group of 117, four to eleven year olds. Whew, what a thrill! I spoke with the kids about Easter Eggs and how God uses them as a sign to help remind us of a NEW LIFE. Although we typically collect plastic eggs, an egg in it self symbolizes a brand new life. If kept incubated, that egg would become a brand new life! The brand new life an egg represents parallels to the brand new life Christ has gifted us with all because of his resurrection on Easter Sunday. The brand new life we are given is an eternal life!
1 Peter 1:4 "Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we've been given a brand-new life and have everything to live for, including a future in heaven-and our future starts now!"
Wow, what an awesome, new way to look at Easter eggs. :) It was such an honor to share the Word of God on Easter Sunday with such an amazing group of kids. I had a really great time, I sure hope they did too.
After church we headed to Pop-Pop and Nana's house for a delicious lunch and indoor egg hunt. Lasagna, salad, cheddar biscuits, brownies and flan where on the menu. Yum! It was so much fun watching the kids sit and eat together at their own table. I couldn't help but giggle and feel my heart swell within as I listened in on the conversations of six littles ranging from two years to seven years. The most typically of topics were being discussed; monster, bug bites, booties (guess who brought that one up???) as well as voicing many of their likes and dislikes. It was so cute!
I'm not sure who had more fun, the littles ones hunting for Easter eggs or the adults who got to watch. Such a joy...

The kids got a chance to burn off some energy while jumping on Grandma Ella's exercise trampoline and running around in the brisk wind outback.
We even had a chance to stop by Grandma Cindy's house for a few hugs and kisses on the way home.
Oh, how we love our family! We are so blessed to have some close enough to wrap our arms around and hug tight.

I really hate that we didn't get a family picture. We moved so quickly from one place to the next that we hardly sat still long enough to think about taking one.
