Spring Flowers

The littles have been really excited about the season of spring this year. Maybe it's because they are becoming of the age where they are beginning to understand seasons and the beautiful changes that happen within them. New life being among the most exciting of spring. 

I thought it'd be nice to make a tradition of crafting some sort of flower bouquet and gifting them to our neighbors each spring. We decided to give these really darling flowers I saw from fun at home with kids a try. 

The kiddos and I really enjoyed experimenting with color on our coffee filter flowers and there's something about using an eye dropper that makes everything all the more exciting. 

Gabriella got a head start while the boys napped. She was on a mission to find the perfect color combination for a very specific pink. After relentless tries, she found it! 

Upon waking, Mikey was so excited to find us painting.

You know I couldn't get away with out doing a few of my own. The top two I made in honor of Gabriella and Mikey. The peddles of the flowers display their current favorite colors.

We made a tag from a note card and tied it around the vase with a ribbon. Gabriella wrote "Happy Spring" on the front of the tag and "<3 the Sanchez Kidz" on the back. We intended to have a bouquet full of flowers for three of our neighbors but this year we only managed to gift one. One boucaet of flowers sits on our window sill in the kitchen and the remaining flowers were given away as singles to anyone we crossed paths with while running errands; the librarians, Gabby's dance teacher, and/or friends at church. 

I'm looking forward to next year's already!
