Great Inventors

I am beyond excited about the beginnings of the Raeford Homeschoolers Support Group. I'm convinced the moms who've pulled together for our area are nothing less than super moms. Amazing job they've done organizing all the details and planning events. I am thrilled to be able to jump on board and support such a great group.

We are still in the beginning phases but for now the plans are to meet every Friday from 10am to 12pm for a class or event. We eventually plan to offer classes for different age groups and interests. And as if this we needed another reason to love this support group, the recreation center we are holding our events at is literally minutes from our home. 1.5-2 minuets to be exact! :)

We were out of town for their very first meeting but were able to attend the second one titled "Great Inventors". It was lead by Courtney, one of the homeschooling moms, and WOW did she do an AMAZING job! She prepared a power-point presentation and a colorful booklet to hand out with all kinds of information and extension activities. She prepared a small group discussion activity and charged the little ones with creating their very own invention. Wow! I know very well the amount of time she must have put into all of that and I greatly appreciate it.

Inventing

Isaac make a portable craft station.
Gabriella made a musical hammer.
Alyana made a ball shooter so that she can "shoot her daddy with it."
Mikey made a bird swing.
How precious! I'm sure I won't be able to document all of our events but am so glad I was able to this time. I could tell the kids genuinely had a really good time and that made this momma's heart so happy.
