Lego Class

Aunt Becky and Grandma June sponsored Isaac, Alyana and Gabriella so that they could participate in an awesome six week Bricks4Kidz Class held right in our Neighborhood's Community Club House. How convenient for mommy and how fun for the kiddos!

The moms of the participating homeschooling students voted on the focus for the class via a poll on Facebook and "Land, Air and Water" won (yay!). The class was held on Wednesdays from 11-12:30pm and each week they built a different means of transportation. They built a steam boat, a helicopter, a paddle boat and a few others I can't seem to remember. Isaac got to work with another of the older boys and added robotics to their build.

They offered a few minutes of free play at the beginning and end of the class which they all enjoyed very much. Even Mikey and Josiah got an opportunity to take advantage of the free play. It was not mandatory that parents stay for the hour and a half class and seeing that it was right in our neighborhood with my a sink full of dirty dishes so close, I took advantage and didn't stay. Mikey, Josiah and I also used that time for a little park time with my dear friend, Emily, and her son, Caleb.

Isaac, Alyana and Gabriella really enjoyed every single class. Excitement filled our Wednesday Mornings with an hour of library (story time and checking out books) then an hour and a half of Lego class. In fact, our very first Bricks4Kidz class was on our very first day of homeschool. What a memorable day full of all kinds of fun and exciting things.

The Bricks4Kidz instructors were so very kind and really showed the kids they cared. Their time together was organized and provided just the right amount of structure for the kids to flourish.  I was very please with the experience and would really love for them to participate again if given the opportunity.
