Irregular Library Visits

Since story time has been canceled for the month of May our weekly library visits have been pretty irregular.

Visits that would normally be on the same day and time each week, aren't. And visits where other little ones normally noisily roam the library with mine, aren't .

Well, at least today's visit didn't involve a librarian chasing after Mikey, asking him to lower his voice and not to run. So, progress! We did have a more in-depth discussion about the rules before entering today. Maybe that helped. I usually just remind them while waking in that a library is a quite place where we need to whisper but after the excitement of last week I decided a talk with direct eye contact may be more appropriate.

Mikey made sure to tell Daddy after he got home from work, that Josiah was the loud one at the library today and that we had to leave because of him. (I am still laughing about that one!)

Anywho, no story time pictures today but I did get to snap a few of them at the book drop. Josiah LOVES the book drop.

We were very surprised upon finding this awesome sandbox in the children's section. This could be blamed for Josiah's heightened excitement. ;)

He was pretty content standing and watching for a while but decided he was completely capable and wanted to give it a try himself.
He and Mikey were arguing about who was going to hold the the small container and scoop up sand with it.

Gabriella and I sat observing the two of them, talking about what we could use to make one of these at home. We're still thinking about that. :)

  1. It was josiah's fault daddy! Too funny. He remembers when he feels like he got in trouble. I still remember him looking at the Christmas tree and saying be verrrry careful! And I know he was remembering breaking the bulb at my house! ....The things that stick in thier head!
