It took a bit longer, the mess was grander, and more patience was required on my part but even in all the chaos I knew there was much being accomplished. I'm sure they were feeling esteemed and appreciated as I stepped back and allowed them to "help".
Taking the easy road, well, it's easy and I am often very guilty, especially for the sake of time. God was growing me at this moment, allowing my patience to be tested and giving me an opportunity to be better than the last.
I'm grateful for these moments. Grateful that God loves me enough to teach me and grateful that my boys find joy in being by my side.
