Mommy: "ummm, I'm not sure Gabby. Probably not today sweetie." (Immediately after I stop and think to myself...well, why not today? It's a perfectly perfect rainy day. Temperature's fairly warm. No thunder, no lightening, no pressing agenda. What could a few minutes out in the rain hurt???....)
Mommy: "You know what??!! Sure! Let's go!"
By the time we picked up a few toys and got everyone's shoes on, the rain stopped for bit. It did, of course, leave some wonderful puddles for them to jump and play in. Almost just as fun!
Three pant-less boys!
Gabriella said using the sidewalk chalk in the rain water was a really cool experiment. I agree! I loved watching them make colorful puddles. The colors would swirl together as they moved.
After a while of running and playing in the puddles the rain started up again. Yay! It was really pouring!!! Gabriella and Brayden absolutely loved it whereas Mikey and Josiah didn't care for the heavy raindrops falling on their heads and dripping onto their faces. They were really missing out. Maybe next time! :)
I love this one...
Josiah did sneak out into the rain for a bit...
I can't wait for a summer full of warm, rainy play days!

Playing in the rain is the best. I look for ways to make that happen still!
