Onion Grass Water

Gabriella brought some onion grass inside that she was excited to have pulled out of the ground with the bulb. We decided we'd call it an experiment and stick it in some water to observe it. It's been a few days and we haven't noticed much of a change. 

Anyhow, Josiah often sits on the counter to keep me company while I work in the kitchen. Today was no different except that he sat close to the onion grass experiment. He made me aware that he was interested in that thing by asking me questions...

Josiah: "dat water?" 

Mommy: "yes"

Josiah" "dat in dere?"

Mommy: "yes" 

I'm busy cooking so not necessary looking at him while having this conversation, just keeping a peripheral eye on him. Well, turns out Josiah was busy, too, busy doing what a two year old should, drinking onion grass water.
