Bread and Butted

I felt incredibly adventurous today and decided to throw some butter making in after math. The kids were fascinated by the idea that they could make butter. I warned them that it would be a laborious task but they all said they were up for the challenge.

Just look at both of those adorable smiles!

Josiah rolled his jar around a few times then completely abandoned it. 

Can you tell they're shaking?  :) 

 

After a long, long, long while of shaking (I should have timed it but I'm guessing it was a good twenty minutes), Mikey and Isaac were the first to see the separation of butter and buttermilk. What a rewarding feeling after all of that hard work! 

 

Our final product...BUTTER!
