Biscuits with Grandma

Grandma Ella's biscuits have been a staple in our family. Growing up I can't remember a meal at Grandma's house that wasn't accompanied with her warm biscuits. She could whip them together in a flat second. She also never hesitated to let her eager little grand children's hands contribute in the making. Whether it was sifting flour, measuring buttermilk and oil, or making a well for the pouring, no job was too small and we were more than willing to help with any or all of the tasks.

The memories we have of Grandma and her biscuit making are among a few of the thousands and thousands of priceless memories we created in her loving home.

What better gift than presenting the great-grandchildren with the same opportunity to create memories of biscuit making with great-grandma Ella. We decided to make an entire morning of it. Aunt Becky has a wonderful way of planning incredibly memorable family gatherings. (Thank you Aunt Becky!) When we're all together we sure do make it count!

We gathered around the kitchen and worked together to create a delicious breakfast with the star being, of course, great-grandma Ella's biscuits. It was so beautiful to see the little ones' hard at work, laboring away to produce an edible piece of history for our family.

Even if they don't remember this day, we will and we'll be sure to relive these precious memories over and over with them.

Family...
Grandma Ella, we are so honored to love you.
Thank you for priceless memories that we will forever hold fondly in our hearts.
